Part of Salgueiro Home’s sustainable development strategy is based on a continuous improvement plan for its facilities. In 2019, it partially replaced the roof of its warehouse (shipping dock) to obtain natural light and thus reduce costs with artificial lighting. It recently completed another intervention by purchasing photovoltaic panels installed on the roof by a certified company in order to comply with all legal operating and safety standards.
This forward-thinking measure represents a quality investment that will not only meet Salgueiro Home’s energy needs, but will also help to reduce its ecological footprint by avoiding consumption of the conventional electricity grid, which is responsible for a large proportion of C02 emissions into the atmosphere.
